Cities served by this area code include Lima (Bluffton), Toledo (Ottawa Hills, Waterville, Whitehouse, Perrysburg, Port Clinton, Sylvania, Bowling Green, Maumee, Holland, Northwood, Oregon, Rossford), Findlay, Fostoria, Bryan, Fremont, Defiance, Napoleon, Tiffin, Sandusky, Ashland, Upper Sandusky and Mansfield. It also serves the Lake Erie islands north of Port Clinton and west of Sandusky. Area code 419 was created as one of the original area codes in October 1947; the overlay area code 567 was created on January 1, 2002. Both area codes are in the Eastern Time Zone.
